Yo
Hi, guys, welcome
to my blog reading the very first post. Today I’m gonna introduce an Internet
meme which I consider with a lot of fun; that is “countryball”!
Introduction
A Countryball is literally a ball colored like the country’s flag. |
A country ball’s “personality” is usually matched to the country’s stereotype, like Japanball would eat Sushi, have “kawaii” expression; Americaball is fat and can’t remember other country’s names.

An interesting fact
Countryballs usually speak English with wrong grammar; some European countryballs might even mix their mother tongues in talk, but according to context, we still can understand what they’re saying.
About drama
Drama in Countryball
Comics usually satirizes the countrys’ economic, historical, and politic
situation. For a politic example, Americans don’t like Mexicans to cross the
border, but in the other hand, Canadians don’t want Americans take their
hometown as American’s garden. Thus, we have the comic below here.
For historical ones,
Germanyball is usually satirized because of its identities in World War I and
World War II. Taking this one for example, we can recall the course taught in
high school.
From left to right: Kingdom of France, German Confederation, Sweden, British Empire, German Empire, French Republic, USA&England, Nazi Germany, Soviet Union. |
Of course, we can’t
just mention Germanyball without its best friend, Italyball, a Spaghetti-loving
yet not-good-at-warring ball. Here’s the comic illustrating the long relationship
between the two balls.

Summary
Countryball is a fans-generated meme, yet its easily drown line and funny dialogue can remind
us of relation among the countries. I think that you could learn
things while laughing, and that’s the greatest part of Internet memes. (If you have any thought about this article, please leave your comment below and I'll reply you as soon as possible!)
